Michael Boyd, BSc (Hons) Ost

My interest in health and wellbeing started in the early 90’s when I discovered I had a natural ability to feel where it hurt in someone’s body and that I could help them feel better.

I started my professional training, initially as a chiropractor in the early 2000’s, and qualified as an osteopath in 2008. Since then I have completed post graduate training in cranial osteopathy and western acupuncture, and the treatment of children and babies.

I have also trained in shiatsu and zero balancing which have their origins in Chinese medicine. I will use these techniques when required or on request, and always with consent.

For a number of years I worked for a medical charity that provided support to people with Chronic Fatigue/M.E. so I have an understanding of the challenges faced by those suffering from chronic pain.

I believe there are two key element to my treatment approach that lead to the success I have with my patients. The first is my ability to feel where it hurts in your body and to be able to empathise with the pain that you are feeling. The second is that I am passionate about finding a way to make you feel better. My aim from a treatment is that you leave the appointment better than when you arrived.

I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, the Shiatsu Society, British Medical Acupuncture Society, and the Zero Balancing Association.

Evie Zur is a registered Osteopath and graduate of the College of Osteopaths in London. She also holds diplomas in both holistic and clinical massage.

Evie’s approach to treatment is to get a thorough understanding of the patients overall health, and treat in a holistic way to fix the underlying problem, not the symptom.

She has experience helping new mums back to full health, and being a new mother herself has great empathy. Evie also has experience treating office workers with back and neck problems, musicians with postural issues, and a range of sport injuries, including those present in runners, rowers and golfers.

Andy Cooper

I started my career in the leisure industry, working as a lifeguard and swimming teacher. My love of sport and teaching took me to university where I obtained a BSC Honours degree in Sports Science and Leisure Management, followed by a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education.

I have over 20 years’ teaching experience and have been recognised as ‘outstanding’ and ‘the driving force behind high-quality PE teaching’. I also founded, and run a very successful swim school in Surrey and Hampshire. I am a long-term sports fanatic, and nowadays, you’ll find me playing competitive hockey for Alton Hockey Club, and when I’m not on the hockey field, I’m either outdoors riding my mountain bike, open water swimming or spending time with my family.

I trained at the highly-respected London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) receiving a Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy, one of the highest levels of clinical massage therapy available in the UK.

I believe that sport and being physically active (no matter what shape or form that takes) is really important for our mental and physical well-being. I have seen from personal experience, and from friends and family, the huge impact massage therapy can have. sports massage allows individuals to keep their body functioning at its optimal level, whether they are 25 or 85!

For years I had experienced severe pain in my groin and back. Pain which was sometimes so severe that it stopped me from doing the activities I love – which can be soul-destroying. This all changed when I met a talented and inspirational massage therapist who not only helped me with my pain in the long term, he also inspired me to make this my career.

I love seeing the positive changes that I can make to people’s lives by reducing their unnecessary pain and debilitation and take pride in helping people reach their full physical potential.
